Working Out at Work? Office GYM Etiquettes to Swear By

More and more corporates are encouraging their employees to work out at gym in office to stay healthy, fit, and motivated. While the health, fitness, and wellness of the employees still remain one of the top concerns for most leading corporates based out of Candor TechSpace Sector 21 Gurgaon and IT park sector 21 Gurgaon, having a corporate gym inside the office campus is the best way to say your employees that you care.

But here’s something no one really talks about, office gym etiquettes! From squeezing in standard fitness equipment into the office space to having a fully-functional state of the art gym inside Candor TechSpace Sector 21 Gurgaon; fitness at work has certainly come a long way.

Here are some of the critical office gym etiquettes that every employee must exercise if they choose to work out at the office gym:

  • While stepping inside the office gym, make sure your goals are clear. Are you really there because you care to stay fit or to just show off your snazzy workout wear.
  • Exhibiting modesty inside the changing rooms, exercise area, and on the equipment is more than what goes a long way. Choose your gym wardrobe carefully to not over expose body areas that no one wants to really look at while working out.
  • While exercising at work is a virtue but overstaying your welcome at the gym is certainly not an excuse. Adhere to the timings, do your things, and go back to work to keep the equipment free for another person.
  • While all organizations really encourage socializing between colleagues, nobody really cares to look at your abs or washboard stomach when they’re dealing with a heavy cardio or lifting weights.
  • Keep conversation to minimum and keep eyes to yourself. Avoid clicking too many selfies everywhere in the gym.
  • It feels great when mobile phones and other digital equipment are on silent mode and kept inside the bag rather than making others hear your business or personal conversations or business talks.
  • Make sure you return the equipment after using it. rather, keep them back at their designated place when you’re done for the next one’s convenience.
  • When you’re on some treadmill or other machine, make sure you wipe down the sweat marks with towel to keep it clean for the next person. Spread a towel to sit or lie down on benches if you’re sweaty.
  • It is great if you exit the gym after getting freshen up (a shower, maybe) to not others get annoyed with your sweat.
  • If there are lockers at the gym, don’t keep your smelly shoes, socks or other attire inside the locker for days.
