Covid-19 has impacted all of us in
such way that we have been working from home since several weeks now. While
most of the offices in Gurgaon IT Park and elsewhere are shut, guess
there’s no other option than to concentrate on work. When it comes to working
from home, procrastinating work is something we all happen to face nearly every
few days. While it’s easy for some to bounce back immediately, it certainly
impacts the rest who struggle to concentrate.
Most office spaces in New TownKolkata or other metro cities are built in a way to pep up productivity and
keep disturbances at bay. Here, in this blog, I have compiled a list of few
tips to help you overcome procrastination while working and stay focussed:
Make a To-Do List a Night Before
When you’re done with completing
the tasks for a day, it’s highly likely that you’re super energetic and
contented. This is the best time to harness your adrenaline levels and make a
to-do list prepared for the next working day. When your tasks for the next day
are sorted, you’re least likely to procrastinate work thinking what to do.
Eat a Frog Right in the Morning
While assigning yourself tasks for
the day, make sure you do the hardest task first thing in the morning. Since we
all keep delaying that one task or email, doing that first will unload the
burden and will keep you from dreading doing that. This will keep you active
and motivated throughout the day and make you focus more on other tasks.
Block Off Your Calendar
While you make the calendar, make
sure you space the tasks judiciously to allow you breathing time in between
tasks. Always block your calendar in such a way that you can effectively and
productively get the task done without any disturbance. Turning off social
media notifications, personal calls, and other disturbances will make sure you
are never interrupted in between tasks and thus, leave no room for delaying
them.
Set Rewards for Yourself
Reward yourself nicely for
finishing that mammoth task by treating yourself to a nice meal, binge watching
a series or even relishing a long phone conversation. This will make you look
forward to that reward and will pep you up to finish the task in time without
procrastinating. This goes along way in keeping you motivated and making you
look forward to working everyday without delaying anything.
